14-Temperance
Upright
Temperance upright is about harmony. This card is about finding the right balance in all your different aspects of life, you know when to work and you know when to relax. You have great relationships and strong friendships. Sometimes it means having a good friend who is from another culture or sexual orientation, who shows you how to be at ease with other ways of thinking that are different from you own or how you were raised. You are comfortable with other lifestyles which create a harmonious environment for you to live in. If you asked about a love interest, it most likely started out as a friendship. You may be friends now and are hoping you can bring it to a love affair. Take a chance, don't worry about ruining the friendship, this person is worth it! This is about falling in love with your best friend. Expect a comfortable relationship that has laughter and passion!
Reversed
Temperance reversed is life out of balance. You are focusing on one aspect of your life and ignoring other parts that are equally important. You haven't found a way to create a peaceful yet productive life. If you asked about a relationship, he will remain a friend. You will feel comfortable, but no sparks. It may feel like a roommate situation, or like two frat guys hanging out. Also, you might be hoping for something that can never be, maybe he is gay and you are straight (or vice versa), whatever the reason, he/she is just not romantically attracted to you. You are a friend and that is all!
15-The Devil
Upright
The
Devil is about temptation, greed, addiction, or any type of
uncontrollable urges. This is not necessarily an "evil" card, it's about
the darker side within. Your lower urges are taking over and leaving
you as a shadow of who you really are. It could be a drug/alcohol
addiction or an abusive relationship. If you asked a question that seems
"innocent" to you, yet you get this card, it means it's a bad idea and
you will hurt the people closest to you in seeking out these selfish
desires. This is not a good card to get, but it is not too late to seek
help. If you asked about love, your love interest has inner demons. If
you asked about a relationship, it will be volatile. If you are already
in an unhealthy relationship, this card can be seen as a warning to get
out immediately. *This card is not always bad if you ask specifically
about wanting a sexual relationship, it is a very sexual card, it can
imply bondage or any other kind of "out of the box" sexual experiences.
Sex might become all you have in common and bind you together, but most
likely there will be no "meeting of the minds" and lacking commitment.
If that is what you are looking for then go for it.
Reversed
The
Devil reversed is when it is too late. The situation has reached "the
point of no return". This is when someone commits suicide or dies of a
drug overdose. The abuse and/or pain has become unbearable. Your inner
demons are beyond help. If you asked about a potential love interest,
just walk away, it is better to never know what this person is capable
of. These are the the people we see on the news and can't fathom how,
why, or what could have possibly made them this way. *If he is a normal
guy and you get this card, with no red flags stating otherwise, then he
is simply an asshole (for lack of a better word) and he will spend his
life treating you like you are gum stuck to the sole of his shoe, he
will have no compassion for you. He may not have empathy for anyone,
most likely he will not know how to.
