Strength & The Hermit

8-Strength

Upright
This card says it right in its title, Strength. Usually it speaks of moral strength, but it can also refer to physical strength as well. You can also say it is about "taming the beast", usually within, unless you are a bullfighter or a crocodile hunter. You have a lion-heart and stand by your word. You may have fears, anxieties, or doubts, but you work through them and succeed. You might have been faced with some type of temptation, but your moral convictions won in the end. Be proud of yourself, you are a strong person who can overcome anything and you will be even stronger for it. If you asked about a relationship this is an almost unbreakable bond, they will weather any storms together. It can also speak of going to the gym and getting in shape. Either way, a healthy heart, spiritually and physically.  *Sometimes, depending on the question, it simply means you lust after someone or something.

Reversed
Weakness, when someone gives into their weaknesses. Not exercising your body or your mind. Mental laziness or physical laziness. Giving up too soon, or not even trying. Anyway I put it, this is a person who doesn't have the conviction to follow through or follow his moral compass. If you asked about a relationship, this is a weak couple, expect someone who will cheat and walk away over a silly argument that could be resolved easily. If you asked about what you should be doing and you got this card, get yourself to the gym, join a yoga class, and find a quiet place to pray and/or meditate. Get moving! Mentally and Physically!

9-The Hermit

Upright
The Hermit refers to withdrawal. Withdrawal from your day to day routine to stop and think about who you are. It may represent the start of becoming less materialistic, taking a "time-out" to reflect upon what is important to you. You might need to focus on your studies and say no to going out with your friends or family. You may encounter an older person who has some wise advice to give. This card is telling you to meditate, spend some time alone, and really figure out what it is you want in life. If you asked about a potential love interest, he is not ready to date, he may have just ended a relationship or encountered some hardships, he needs time alone to adjust. You don't want to be the rebound.

Reversed
The Hermit reversed speaks of loneliness. This person could be depressed or just moved to a new place where they do not know anyone. He might be spending way too much time inside his house, hardly ever leaving, unless absolutely necessary. There are many scenarios, but basically it is someone who is isolating themselves or feeling isolated. If you asked about a relationship, your significant other either plays online video games all day and never takes you out, has social anxieties, or is depressed. Either way you look at it, you spend most of your time doing things without him. It might be time for one or both of you to see a therapist.
