When The Lovers is reversed it speaks of a bad relationship. Lovers coming together out of loneliness and/or desperation. As an example, think of the internet scam "CatFish" where someone seduces the other over the internet with no intention of ever meeting, always making excuses that sound plausible until months to years go by, while the other sits alone by the computer, wondering why they haven't met yet. Not a happy scenario! Also, add jealousy and trust issues. If you get this for two choices, both are bad or at least one of these choices is based on greed or will lead to negative actions.

Someone running in circles, so much momentum and nothing ever gets done. Movement without thought or someone trying to force their ideas onto you with great force. It can also be just stagnation. Imagine someone with tons of ideas and plans but never implements any of them, always having an excuse as to why they can't go or why it isn't the right time to start something.
